Why does this happen now?

FH and I aren't really looking into buying a house just yet, wanted to get the wedding over with and have all of that paid for. However I just happened to stumble along a great house for sale back in my hometown (30 min away from us now) and we are going to look at it on Sunday. I am so torn, I don't know if we should make an offer or wait. Not sure if we are going to be able to afford a house this close to the wedding but I am afraid that this might be to good to pass on. Ughhhh, what to do!!

I know the timing isn't great, but if you go see this house and it's everything you're looking for, go for it!!!

let us know how it goes after you see it on Sunday......sometimes you'll get the vibe whether the house is for you as soon as you walk in. who knows, sometimes the seller (or the attorney's) drag their feet throughout the sale process, so you might not close on it til after the wedding. When we got the house we're in, we bid in mid July and didn't close til Columbus Day weekend- so that was almost 3 months. Good luck!!

go look and have a home inspection done, and then see if you can afford it, that usually changes a lot, sometimes a house looks great, but underneath it all, it needs a lot of work, and the sellers sometimes won't budge in price for the work needed.. but i hope it all works out for you. Go and see the house, if you have such a good feeling you can't stand it, make an offer. The house of your dreams, in your price range, in the neighborhood you want doesn't come around everyday! GL!
