i'm at a point in this whole wedding process...where i just dont care any more....maybe its bc FI just came back from vegas and is having another party in the city next week....plus the fact that i wanted from the very beginning wanted to go to vegas for mine and then have a party here in the city again...but somehow i got denied that....then my shower is this weekend....and somehow i just want to get it over with...or even that i'm getting sick of trying on my dress which i dont even like anymore.....whats wrong with me...

Well, I hope that at least made you crack a smile. It happens, I haven't done anything in weeks. I can't decide on my bach party stuff because I wanted a weekend getaway, but don't think it'll happen due to people too busy, no money, obligations. Whatever I tell myself as long as I chill with my girls for a day or two, it'll be kewl. You'll come out of your funk. Enjoy your shower, it's one of two you'll have in life! Hope you feel better!

I go through periods like this myself. You need to try to enjoy this time...maybe even take a step back and just not do anything wedding related for a few days. As far as your shower, just think of all the poeple who will be there to celebrate this time with you. Like the previous poster said, you only get one bridal shower so try to enjoy it. Lastly... why couldn't you go to Vegas for your BP? Did your girls not want to go?

oh please.....the last months prior to my wedding I was totally sick of the whole thing. I remember having to go for another iftting and having absolutely no desire to put that stupid dress on again. I wanted to throw up if I had to talk about the flowers, pictures, etc......I just wanted to be married already. Trust me............the day of your wedding you'll get all the positive feeligns back, all this minutia will be totally worth it,,,,,,,,I can't explain it but in the end you'll be really happy you did all of this stuff.

I bet you once you go to your shower you will feel differently. I would be a little annoyed that that FH gets 2 parties especially if that's what I wanted and I got denied.

dont worry , everyone i get in some kind of wedding rut, where they dont want to plan anymore, but reliaze in the end that you and fh will be married, and all this ruckus will be behind you, and you will look past it, and continue with your wonderful new begining.

I feel the same way girl, dont let it get to you. It seems like the closer it gets everyone pulls you every which way and it can be stressful and tiring. Just make sure to take some time out for yourself

Join the club...I went through that not so long ago, actually, about 2 weeks ago..I cried and everything! Wedding planning can be sooo stressful..especially is no one is helping you or listening to you. Thats why I am so glad I have you girls..because you girls always understand. So remember...it will work out, its normal to feel this way. Also remember that we are always here for you if you need to talk.

The planning is just getting me down too. Things are crazy, but I just keep thinking it will all be worth it on our wedding day.

It's totally normal!! I've been going through periods like this. I wish all the work and decisions could be done and I could just show up and have my day already!! I'm SO SICK of wedding planning and wedding talk!! You'll feel better soon

I'm kinda going through that now. I have to pick out pictures to give to the DJ for the photo montage and haven't done it yet. I think all brides go through periods like this at one time or another. I don't think it's that we don't care but we're just sick and tired and a little stressed out from planning so much.

I understand...I go through these periods for a couples months where I'm all about planning, and then a couple months where I just do not want to do anything involving planning. It will pass, try not to let it get you down too much!

With all the stress and planning I go through periods where we just want to relax and not think about it. But then I get these productive modes where everything has to get done this week lol. I guess it all depends on the person and their habits.
there is nothing wrong with you maybe you are just getting stressed and this is your body's way of relaxing itself.

i think we all go through a slump when it comes to weddingplanning. As far as ur dress.. im not sure why u dontliek it but if its something that bothers u that much why dont u try selling it and buying a new one?! ( just a suggestion) as far as the parties go.. just try to smile and taking it all in.. a few years from now when u are married and happy and starting a faily u might start to regret that u let something bring u down and u didnt get to enjoy the good times.

Awww I understand. Mb the fact that he is getting to do some of the things you wanted to do? I would feel the same way. You can't wait for the wedding but after all this work and than people not doing something for you that you'd love to do and esp. FH gets to do it would make me feel the same way !!
