Why I hate people......(a long vent about my car)
A few weeks ago it was pouring rain and I was waiting at the end of an exit ramp to make a right turn on to Commack Road. A car hit me from behind, and I looked up in my rear view mirror and the man that hit me was on the phone. ![]()
He gets out, and I got out, and he says- 'sorry, my foot slipped off the brake. There is no damge, I looked so you don't have to' (YEAH RIGHT)
So I look, and my bumper is scratched. So I point it out to him, and he says 'ok- I'll give you 20 bucks'. I know it costs $200 to repaint my bumper. cause I already had it done. I did not accept his $20, and ask him for his lisence and insurance info. He gives me a hard time, so I wanted to call the police. (I was mostly ****ed because he was on the phone).
He tells me he has to run to the school to pick up his daughters from the bus, and i should follow him to the school, so I do because I am a su*ker. We get there, and I am standing outside in the POURING RAIN while he sits in his car on the phone for 10 minutes.
Then he gets out and tells me it is just a scratch, that is what bumpers are for, and I am ridiculous. So now I am mad, and I tell him again I am going to call the police. He says 'I barely tapped you'.
So I said 'Well, if you weren't on the phone, which is illegal by the way, you would realize how hard you hit me!!'
So he gives me an attitude, his business card, and insurance info and says 'I don't have time to wait for the police, I missed my daughters bus and have to go find her' So I let him go, (because I am a su*ker).
I have FH call the next day, and when he found out who it was on the phone, he put him on hold and never came back. He has been 'out of the office' ever since. I did not want to report it to insurance because I have a deductible anyway, so now I have a scratched bumper. I should have called the police anyway.![]()
