Why I like LIW

i'm going to be the first one to get married out of all my friends. they don't understand that you need to start looking at vendors now.
they feel that I start planning too early. When I come on this website I get all the support that I need because everyone is doing the same thing that I am doing.
no one will say you're acting like you're getting married next month

I know exactly what you mean. I was getting that at first. However now 3 of my friends are also engaged and planning for 2008. They are now looking to me for all the advice!

yes i got the same thing also- they use to say to me like why are u booking vendors when you're not getting married until 2 years!

Im crashing the 08 boards LOL but I have to say My friends are saying the same thing to me and im about 1 year away from the date... Ive met sooooo Many girls on here and They help me out SOOOOO MUCH more then my own Friends.... I LOVE LIW!!!!

yea i definitely agree. I love this place! My FH calls it my little 'club' lol and it's so true! Whenever I talk to non LIW people and they start to make me feel like I'm crazy I just come on here and I feel normal again!

aww!!! its so true!!! My FH says its like a chat room- i said seriously u get such good advice from here that i would go crazy if i wasnt on this

aww i hear you. see all my friends are on here too we are all planning together...LIW is just another place for us to chat!

I do not think it is too early. I know how places are already being booked for 2008...one I book the hall...looking for vendors is next on my list! haha

So I think you are just fine. Your friends will see...when they are paying loads of money when you are paying 2006 prices

AGREED I think most people not in the future bride position don't want to talk (or hear about) wedding stuff 24/7...unlike us! It's great to get advice from past bride's, current bride's and future brides...or grooms! Especially that everyone is mainly from Long Island or the metro New York area too...nobody understands our elaborate NY weddings like us NY'ers!!!
