why is it when.....

you put mr. and mrs. smith on the outer and jane and bob smith on the inner that people respond with 4people, isnt it obviouse that there children arent invited

this response gave me a little giggle...this happen to us...people even put 2 when there was clearly no 'and guest' the bottom line...people are going to do WHATEVER THEY WANT!!!! case closed...

i could understand thinking a guest...but kids come on? why do you change the name for the inner...mr and mrs on the out side and then their name so the insid...im confused...i dint write on the inner

What are you gonna do?

Out of curiosity... did you write 'adult reception' on the reception card? How old are their children?

You can always say the reception hall put a guest limit on you because of the size of the room!

it's obvious to us 'cause we're brides...but to others, well, not so much apparently.

we had people RSVP for and bring their toddlers who were NOT invited. in the end, it was no big deal...but it was a tad annoying.

i am strictly having no children excpet in the wedding party,, but unfortunately people are ballsy and will do what they want.

in the end unfortunately there is no way around it unless u are close to them and feel comfortable telling them...

i agree that the no children thing is so obivous..

but i have a confession,,, once i was invited to a wedding without a guest, and i was insulted they didnt invite my now finace with me.. soo i put 2 on b.c i thought it was rude.. and i was an adult..

but the no children thing i completely understand.

I think they do it on purpose! FI aunt is insisting that his little cousins come. I just told her no, no children means no children. If I have them I have to have the others...she still hasn't RSVPed to the wedding She is being so spiteful
