It is perfectly natural. IMO, you just got married and you should enjoy married/couple life for a little while before expanding your family. Marriage can be a big transition and you should give yourselves a little time to adjust.

In my situation, my DH was not ready to start a family after we got married. If I had forced the topic, it would have caused major problems for us. However, we both decided it was time to start a family, I am now preggo and he is so excited. I mean, he is even excited about going to the Baby Expo on Saturday!!!

Starting a family is a big decision and (again IMO) you both should be ready for it.

Truthfully, after the high of all the wedding planning and the excitement of the day and the honeymoon, sometimes newlyweds can feel the 'let down' of no wedding plans to make and things to do and can start to get the itch for the next big thing. It's very common. If you were originally considering waiting X amount of time, at least give it a few months after the wedding before you jump into parenthood plans. Yes it's a very exciting thing and thrilling but your life really changes drastically - I agree with the comment about enjoying some married time as a couple for a little bit - at least wait a few months and see if the baby itch is still there.

Good luck.

it's because you are in the 'nesting' stage!

How does your hubby feel about it? I know on the TTC board you said he was freaking out when youi mentioned children. If you both agreed to wait and you want to have babies sooner, then talk to him, maybe he'll change his mind. However, maybe he wants to spend sometime with just you and to enjoy your married life before having children. Children are so beautiful, but I've seen how much it changes your marriage. You just got married and I can imagine you are so excited to start trying, but maybe for the time being you can take up some sort of hobby to keep your mind off of it for a little while. Maybe plan a trip, redecorate your place, take dancing lessons - something you and hubby can enjoy together. Maybe you'll find that the urge may not be as strong.

I wish you lots of luck!
