Why men shouldn't work at Bridal Shops...

I went back to pick up my dress yesterday (they had ordered the wrong size the first time)

I go up to the counter and tell the girl my name. She sends a guy to go get the dress from the back.

He brings it up and I look at it while he wraps it in the garment bag. I ask him to double check the size for me.

He tells me it's a 20 WIDE!

Yes, I needed a 20W (which didn't make me feel great in the first place) and then he tells me WIDE.

I didn't know whether to correct him, slap him or tell him he doesn't work at a shoe store.

I laughed it off.....but this is the reason me shouldn't work at bridal shops!

oh man! I totally agree. They can work there, but should never be seen or heard from! (I got the same size and if I heard that I would have said, 'UH, it means WOMANS not WIDE, you DUMBA$$!)

You are gonna look gorgeous in your dress...it is just a number!!! Don't feel bad ...i had a SALESLADY tell me a dress i was trying on was perfect for a 'SECOND WEDDING'...to which I replied, 'I know i am not the youngest bride here...but this is my FIRST marriage'...needless to say i did not get my dress there...haha..people just don't think sometimes!

Yeah some people don't have a 'filter'

I'm totally cool with my dress and the size -- I know the sizes run all kinds of crazy and if it weren't for 'the girls' it wouldn't have been necessary to get that size :) (sorry TMI!)

I can't wait for my fitting and to try it on again!!
