For MONTHS (MONTHS I say!!!), I have suspected DH was smoking after having stopped almost 6 years ago. I would ask, because when he would kiss me, I could taste it & smell it. He kept saying no. Tonight I found Nicorette gum in his jeans when I was doing the laundry!!!
It makes me SO MUCH MORE MAD THEN I SHOULD BE..... because instead of telling the truth, he lied!!!! I told him that he makes me think that he thinks I am some stupid girl from under a rock. And who knows for how long he was smoking again...... I kept asking him how he spent his money so quickly each week..... that makes me mad too... the wasted money.. .a pack is like $5 nowadays isn't it!!!!!

I can relate to you 100%. My DH promised that once the wedding day came, he would quit. Well on our honeymoon I found him smoking behind a tree. I actually thought it was pretty funny.
I have bought him every possible product on the market to stop smoking. He says he uses them, but I know he does not.
When I get in the car, I can smell cigarette smoke and see ashes and he still denies it. It drives me absolutely.
I know it is hard to quit, but do not lie to me!

My friend and I agree that there is some deficiency in that Y chromosome that makes men do stupid things. It helps us to not get so angry because it's almost as if they can't help themselves.

I know he obviously trying to stop.... so at least I was only mad last night!!! I am done being mad.... I know he is trying, it was him lying so many times when I asked..... and YES (as I hang my head sheepishly!!!!) it was in fear of an argument & disapointing me that he did not tell me when I asked! He knew I would be mad..... so I understand!
