Why My Mom Rocks....
I have to write an open letter to my Mom.
If you knew half of my life than you would understand how important it is to me to have my Mom and I be so close again.
When I was 15, my family was in a devastating car accident and my Mom almost died. My Dad and I walked away with a barely a scratch on us. Head injuries can change a person so much.
The past 13 years have been a difficult struggle to regain my best friend and have back the Mom that I remember from before the fights and the arguments.
Its funny, this wedding has brought us so much closer together than I ever could have thought. I call my Mom so much more now. I can say its because my grandmother, Mama, passed away last year and I want to make sure my Mom is ok.
But the truth is, I finally feel like we are getting back to where we used to be. Yes, we still fight but they are fewer and farer between.
She has been amazing during this process and I wouldn't be having half as much fun as I am having putting it all together if it wasn't for her. My Mom comes to every appointment and even hand cancelled my invites for me today at the post office.
My Mom has been so supportive and amazing....I just needed to get this out guess. I rarely talk about the car accident so this is a nice way to do it in an anonymous sort of way.
