Why now...NWR

Why now...NWR

Why do things ALWAYS go wrong at the worst times?
My 2003 car (I bought it BRAND new) is basically shot...I've been fighting back and forth with the manufacturer about getting them to replace my car...easier said then done...
I've been having transmissin problems with it for sometime and it is just getting to the point where I am sick and tired of having to bring it in to have them fix - which CLEARLY they are not bc this is the 5th time its going in for the same problem...anyway...FH & I decided that we would just trade my car in for something else...definately staying away from the VW its just not the right time with us havng to pay for this wedding and find a place to live...we figure if we try to get rid of it now we'd at least get more for it than if we waited until next year to sell it...I need this like I need a hole in my head... arghhh STRESSSSSSS....Ok vent over...thank you

you should look into the lemon law...if it's brought in 3 times for the same problem..they should replace the car.

I thought this only applied when 60 days after you bought the car?

In any case I've asked them when do they just give me a new car? There answeer was 'they have to exhaust all means possible?' so god knows when that is...with my luck right before the last finance payment is owed...

I was gonna say..VW right? I had the same problem. I will never buy VW again, even though I loved my car.

Oh, I'm sorry. I had to laugh. I AM GOING THROUGH THE SAME EXACT THING WITH A VW (JETTA). Ugh.... NEVER AGAIN. I'm trading her in tomorrow actually. I've only had it for 5 months. Good riddens.

Thanks everyone...I just want nothing to do with VW right now...we're going to look at the new Jeep Commander as soon as I get home from work...FH just stopped at the dealership on his way home and spoke to someone...so he wants me to see it...

It has to break again after the 3rd try.

http://www.oag.state.ny.us/consumer/cars/newcarlemon.html

use this website - I have an Xterra which I bought new and the gas gauge never worked - it would work for a day and break again - it ended up getting fixed the third time and never broke again - no new car for me! download the brochure, it is very handy. Also file a complaint with the company and make sure you document EVERYTHING.

They also don't have to give you a new car - they can give you a 'comparable', or just give you the cash.

Good luck!
