WHY oh why can't you admit that it is not decaf

One of my biggest pet peeves is going to a coffee place and having them tell you it is decaf, when in fact it is regular coffee put into a pot with an orange rim. Seriously, I am like a rabbit on crack right now & I even say, please do not give it to me if it is not decaf, or I could end up in the hospital. They just don't care

Meanwhile, I have to give a presentation in about 10 minutes...this should be fun

I hate this...I can't have caffeine at all...none...zero and I drive food servers crazy about it. I tell them that I will get physically sick within minutes of ingesting caffeine...

I get like a rabbit too when I have it. It also bothers my stomach big time!

I would rather someone tell me that it's not brewed or we don't have it.

whenni make coffee at work i alway's tell the people the truth in whats in the coffee pot if someone cant be honest about what kind of coffee they made to the customer than they should not be making coffee. i like i said always label what the coffee is. i am sorry someone told you that it was decaf when it fact it was reg i would have complained to the manager.

Sorry that you got jacked up before your presentation. Thats mean of the coffe people to do

I have known many people in my life, Johnsae, that cannot have caffeine for whatever reason (usually poor reactions with one's stomach). There are also people, believe it or not, who like the taste of coffee. If one of these people likes the taste of coffee, but cannot have caffeine, they should be able to drink decaf freely and safely.

I mean, come on, just because my Dad drinks Diet Coke SOLELY for the caffeine doesn't mean everyone does. Some people just like Diet Coke.

This is SUCH a pet peeve of mine. I always drink decar (caffeinated really bothers my stomach). I was just at Dunkin Donuts yesterday getting an iced decaf and they gave me regular. And the guy gave ME an attitude becasue he gave me the wrong one!

this may seem like a really dumb question (I drink coffee solely for the caffeine), but why do you get decaf? do you like the taste of coffee without the caffeine? just wondering :)

I cannot ingest any stimulants - even sugar, or my metabolism becomes very unstable. I had an 'incident' about 2 years ago where I OD'ed on ephedra, and now my body can no longer proccess any stimulants.

OMG - I went to the Dunkin Donuts on Willis Avenue

This happend to a friend of mine when she pregnant

She was far enogh along, where the Dr had ok'd a little caffine, but didn't want it & orderd decaf & she hadn't had caffeined in a whiel , she coudl tell right away (she didnt' finish it) & the little bit she had made her really jumpy & then she had to go teach little kids.

When peole swith it on purpose it really bothers me, b/c you never know how someone will react. People couldl be on medication that could reat really badly with caffeine or be pregnant but not showing or jsut not able to tolerate it. You never know.
