Why was my thread pulled?

Why was my thread pulled regarding negative reviews about a particular flor*st on Long Island beginning with a 'P'?

Just so many people were joining in the bashing..it was sooo bad! And not even people who had used them..it was people who were giving accounts of friends who had used them etc...it just got too bad..and upsetting..

I felt like saying to those girls ok give me a list of your vendors I am sure I know of someone who has had a bad experience with one of them

I mean YES everyone is entitled to their opinion but it was beyond that..So I would like to thank LI weddings for pulling it

That kind of bothers me- Isn't America all about free speech-

so you can say anything as long as it nice? doesn't that take away from the point of this site

we deserve honest opnions- and if they take on a job they should do it right or say no from the begining

they should be accountable or what's the point

It's a matter of saying 'Here is what happened to me' instead of 'OMFG I HATE THEM, THEY ARE JERKS, BEWARE OF THEM, DO NOT USE THEM, OMFG'

As I understand things, Ron and Liz are liable for what is said on this site, so if anything could get them in trouble, they have to pull it.

Yup. If you give a play by play account of your own experiences without editorializing, then it cannot be libel or slander. If you start putting opinions in then it can be and would/could directly have an effect on a vendors ability to conduct business - especially if that vendor is not able to present their side of the story in the same forum. This is why reporters leave opinions out of news reports and simply give FACTS ONLY!

Reviews - good or bad - are fine. When threads turn slanderous then it will be removed. That is what happened in this case. Actually a few FMed thanking us for removing it.

Personally, as a bride i find it upsetting to read an entire thread of negative reviews about a vendor I already booked... it is ok if it is worded ok and they are first hand accounts, but when it becomes 'my brother's friends sister' had this awful experience and some girl i know on the street said this... and some one i work with's neice said that... those type of threads can be upseting because they are not first hand accounts of true experiences and things often get so exaggerated...
