I'm sorry, I don't remember asking your opinion. Furthermore, I don't recall you offering to give me stacks of money in order to pay for these lavish suggestions.

My favorite so far is 'don't have a long engagement.' (We are having 2 year engagement). I just want to say 'Well we would love to get married this November instead of next November but we really need more time to save up for the wedding we really want.' Which is a nice way of saying 'Oh, I didn't realize that you're offering to pay for our wedding! Oh honey, isn't that wonderful?'
