Does anyone else have the problem of their FH not wanting to get totally involved in the wedding planning?
Are you finding it hard to get them out of the house to do things for the wedding?
Urghhhhhhhh i really hate it when my FH is not as motivated as me on this. I mean granted he is working on all the things for our new home but I have a million and one things to do too.
This bother's me to no end. But I will try to stay calm.

my fh is very involved in the planning. he made all the appts for the photo and the hall and limos.
just try to stay calm and don't force it on him. i think once the wedding gets closer, he'll get more excited about it

I've handed over control of a few vendors to FH and that has him pretty motivated. He is in charge of selecting a photographer and a DJ. He makes all of the appointments and then we go together and ask questions.

my fi could have cared less about the photographer... he says he'll come with me to florist appts... but i'll have to see it to believe it!
we are going to register next week... im interested in seeing how that event takes place!! FMIL tells me to just let him hold the gun and it might be a fun day!!

My FI wants to be involved but is always so tired. I offer to go and scope out vendors and report back to him so that I can weed some out. But he gets upset and says that he wants to be part of everything. I love this but wish that he wouldn't complain every time I mention the fact that we have to visit a photographer or something.

Remember that the grass is ALWAYS greener on the other side! My FH is very involved...but we are not agreeing on the small things that I like. I sometimes think it'd be easier if he wasn't involved and I got to make the decisions!

My Fh is very helpful.....i mean he doesnt go through catologes like i do....but when something needs to be done...he's there to go with me and gives me advice... Dont worry....he'll come around...

My FH goes in spurts of being really helpful and then not seeming to care at all. He has done a lot of the applications for the hall and church, but I think thats all he cares about....execpt registering which he is thrilled about. He's the cook and cannot wait for real pots and pans and stuff.

You are not alone. I thought the one thing my FH would be excited about was the photographry and videography since he LOVES his camera and loves talking techie photo and computer terms with people. Nope, still have to drag him places. It's fine, you and I can just take credit for the wedding when everyone compliments us on the great job 'we' did and then you can say that FH was of no help. Ha-ha!

MOst of it I'm doing. I put him in charge of blocking hotel rooms. ANd he wants to deal with the dj. He tells me whatever makes me happy.

I do all the research, but he is involved. He's been to all the vendors with me. Now my friend use to complain about her FI not being involved, but when you took a closer look, he had no say in ANYTHING.

This is exactly what happened with me. He is always tired b/c he works long hours and he is doing everything for our new home. Maybe i should just be more understanding.

My FI is interested occasionally. He looked at the hall with me, and he'll work with the DJ once I have it booked. Other than that, the rest is up to me - and I know he'll always defer to my judgment. Florist is pretty much booked, and he really couldn't care less about the flowers.
It bothered me at first, but then I realized that the details are really something that he isn't interested in. He keeps telling me that as long as we're husband and wife by the end of the day, he'll have gotten everything he wants!

My FH had gone to all the vendors with me. He complains here and there but overall has been great. He wants to be involved in our wedding.

my fh lets me do everything, since he is paying for everything but the reception costs, i just tell him what check to make out and he does it. he says he wants to be involved in the DJ and limos but other than that, its all me doing the planning- and you know what- I like it that way! my mom is helping me with stuff but at the end of the day its me.

My FI thinks we have plenty of time and that I am booking stuff too soon. UGHH....he gets me mad sometimes. He doesn't realize that vendors get booked quickly for weddings. He was totally involved when we were checking halls now It seems like its all up to me. I now check out the vendors I like and I then tell him about it. But also we do live a distance from eachother. It will all work out in the end. All I can say is Thank God for MOMS!!!
