Why would a realtor not call back?

Why would a realtor not call back?

We saw a house on line that we love, and called the realtor twice today and no reply! Am I being too eager or is this normal? I thought they'd call back same day.

This has happened to me so many times! Finally, we just got an agent that has been working with us and now whenever I see something that looks good I call her, give her the MLS #, and she looks into it for us/takes us to see it. Good luck!

This has happened to me so many times! Finally, we just got an agent that has been working with us and now whenever I see something that looks good I call her, give her the MLS #, and she looks into it for us/takes us to see it. Good luck!

I hate this too. What the heck is wrong with people, do they want to make a sale or what! I shouldnt have to beg to get into a house. Our broker has been awesome this far, but prior to her man did I hate this.

It is probably because they have gotten a ton of calls on the house or because they already have an interested buyer. Watch if it falls through they will call.

OMG .. you have no idea how much it bugs me when ANYONE does not return my call .. but it seems like just about everyone in the service industry has a problem with picking up a phone and returning a call!!

As for real estate companies .. I remember when we were house hunting .. we had the same problem .. but .. I was calling a specific lady .. whose name was listed on the houses .. HOWEVER .. when we just called the real estate company's general number .. which was answered by a receptionist .. and explained that we were interested in seeing houses but not getting a call back from 'Ms. So-N-So' .. we were hooked up with someone else who was available .. and she ended up working very hard for us .. and was not considered our broker .. but rather the seller's broker.

We thought about getting an agent to work for us .. but didn't like the commission fees we'd have to pay on top of everything else.
