is it sooooo difficult to get a photographer and videographer?!!!

I hate feeling like I have to make a decision now! All these vendors are making me feel like I need to make a decision TODAY!!! I give up!
I literally only started last week and I have already had enough with this nonsense. It really pisses me off!


Am I the only one feeling like this?

I am so sorr u feel like that... I have not got to that point yet but I am sure everything will turn out great in the future....
It will be worth it

Sometimes you just need to take a break to let it sink in then restart from there

I booked photography & video separate.

We saw 7 photographers, 3 video places.

5 of the photographers we saw included video but we didn't like the quality so we went to look at video.

Then we fell in love with a photographer who did JUST photos and a video person who did JUST video.

But it was a VERY long process. All those appointments took like 3 months. They got long, boring, and stressful.

Everyone made it seem like you MUST book right away, and we felt enormous pressure. But my wedding is a year away - I went to a showcase the other day - every single photographer at that showcase told me they were available for my date still. So don't stress.

This is the strategy FH and I were going to take and we though we knew who we wanted for each, but to do it that wayf or what we want is sooooooo expensive!! We want to keep it all under 5500 but FH wants a specific stlye of video and it's just not working out that way. Very frustrating.

Our video is being shot in HD and I love the company.

I booked separate and I'm under $5500. It's def doable.

Hard but doable.

I'm feeling the same way!! I had a mini-meltdown last night over photographers/videographers... Everyone offers something different with pros & cons with each. I have no idea how I'm going to make a decision!!

OOO man!! I have not even began to start looking.. im a little afriad now! lol! We are having out engagement party end of march and figure we would start looking after that.. im just afriad now lol!

I really feel the photographer is one of the more difficult decisions to make. You want to be able to find someone you are comfortable with, whose work is amazing/the style you are looing for, and how is affordable/available! This is also the person who is going to capture the memories of that day so you don't want to pick just anyone.

I started out with a list of about 7 photogs that I was interested in and I felt like the all just keep dropping like flies once I got the price quotes!!! But, I have to say I am very happy with the decision to go with our photographer. Since the start I had my eye on them because every photog in that studio does amazing work and I have heard nothing but rave reviews about them. The only reason I was holding out was because I was stuck on my 'dream' photographer, but realized it was going to be possible. I know our photog is going to do amazing things with our wedding and capture it the way we would like it.

My wedding is in June and I am really having a hard time finding a photographer that I like :/ My first choice was duet and next thing you know the rest are booked!!! It's very frustrating...
