my mom is coming to NY tomorow and we are going to try on dresses, but I wanted to surprise her with tickets to Wicked. All the websites show tickets for $125ish.
Anyone know of a way to get cheaper tickets for a Tuesday night show? thannnnkkss

Re: Wicked Tickets?
The only thing I would suggest, and it's not a guaranteed way to get tickets, is the lottery rush.
Wicked Lottery Rush: $26.50- 25 front row seats available for each performance via a lottery drawing held two hours before curtain. Entries are accepted starting two and a half hours prior to each performance (or 30 minutes before the drawing itself). Limit one entry per person, and two tickets per winner. Winners must be present at time of drawing and valid identification must be shown to purchase tickets. Cash only.

Plan on trying to get the rush tickets, but also have something else planned in the city as a back-up. Call the box office at the theater to find out exactly how the rush tickets work. That's what I would do

Try the TKTS booth in Times Square or at one of their other locations. I think Wicked has been out long enough to be featured there but I'm not sure. You can check online to find out- I think it's through the Theatre Development Fund. If that doesn't work, try Playbill.com. They offer discounts on their website, I think you just have to join a mailing list. See if your employer offers Plum Benefits- they always offer discount Bway show tickets.
Good luck!! It's a fabulous show.

Try the TKS booth! Wicked is so hard to get discounts on, but it's worth the money!!!

Re: Wicked Tickets?
I agree with the TKS booth! I have seen many shows that way! Also, if you go to the theatre earlier in the day, you can ask if they have any tickets for that day left over. sometimes they do and sell them cheaper. They rather sell them cheaper than not sell them at all.
