Please tell me someone is watching this? What is wrong with that family with the 5 kids..those poor kids are gonna grow up to be murders with rules and limitations like that!

Ok, the one family with the daughters could use some veggie meals...
The other family needs to put the 'wackers' away!!! Thats awful!
They arent even allowed to beat people up in the army. Why would you hit your children and announce that to the world?

It was so sad to see those kids so thrilled to be eating some snacks, watching tv, and actually socializing with other kids - it broke my heart. THat dad was a jerk!!

I thought the same thing, I thought it was aboslutely horrible to homeschool five children.....they think they are doing the right thing but they dont even have a clue that what they are doing is keeping them from learning 'social skills'---they're all going to end up like their father, as you can see, who has no personality.
And as I was watching, I was thinking to myself, does this family ever 'smile'? 2004 living in the United States and homeschooling your five children?? What is wrong w/ this picture--they're raising their children as if they're living in a third world country--and they dont even do that there!........too bad its not illegal--b/c they are doing so much more harm to those kids than good and they dont even have a clue!!!
And the fact of how happy they were w/ being allowed to eat sweets and going to school--they were so excited!!! Poor things........that broke my heart!!!!

Very strange- total control freak. I think both families each had their own issues. But that one father in Florida seems like he was trying to start a cult.

okay the wacking family was crazy, but how rude was that one women in the other family, the one who has 2 girls, at the meeting she was driving me crazy, she even was mean to her own husband. I loved it when homeschool mom grabbed girls face, and girl looked at father like ms. hannigan moved in

When that woman grabbed that girl by the face - I was like how is that father controlling himself? How can you let any strange woman - show or not put their hand on your child - no matter what age or what they deserved.
Those poor kids in the crazy family. The wacker fear? no socialization, too many rules? It was shocking to see people live like that. gosh knows what those kids are destined for.
I think the other girls could use more rules but I think the crazy family was way too overbpard. They lived like robots and freaks. The didn't seem happy or to have any emotions until she allowed them to have a little less rules.

I watched a few minutes of this show. It was totally wacky (both families). You had the A typical trailer family where the girls ran around like hooches and then you had the Stepford Family w/Mr. Control Freak at the wheel. Can someone say Martin Burney (sleeping w/the enemy)???? I laughed when he was complaining about how little she did during the day - like she was his slave or something. No emotional connection there whatsoever....
Can someone tell me what is the point of this show??

Im not sure, maybe to appreciate what you have or realize some changes are needed.
Who the hell knows but I would never live in a strange house for any amount of days---no way!!!!!!! Its just less time that I'm with mine.
