Wii Active vs. Wii Fit

I'm thinking about getting Wii Fit or Wii Active. Does anyone have either or both?
Do they really help you lose weight?? (I'm looking to lose 10-15 lbs)
Which one is better??

TIA!

I have the Wii Fit and it’s fun, but I don’t know how much weight it would really help you lose. I’ve heard the Wii Active is better.

Wii Active (the second one called More Workouts) is MUCH better than Wii Fit.

Wii Active you actually do workouts as opposed to Wii Fit which strengthens your balance and core. Even the aerobic excercises on Wii Fit don't do anything.

I have wii fit... its fun, but I didn't feel I was losing any weight. I actually worked out for about 2½ hours then taught a 1½ hour dance class and made myself sick... that was back in like May.. I rarely use it now only when we have ppl over and want to have fun. I was thinking of getting wii active, but I don't have the extra cash or the time to really follow it thoroughly.

Wii fit is fun but I doubt it does anything for you to lose weight. Maybe if you do all of the strength training religiously you will tone up but I wouldn't expect much more than that.

I was given Wii Active a few months ago and I'm ashamed to say that I haven't used it yet. Whenever I say I'm going to I end up going to the gym instead. This reminds me though maybe I'll try it tonight.

Its fun but like a lot of other girls said... it alone will not make you lose weight.

Put yourself on a lower cal diet and go walking/running or just get moving.

Of course, wii fit is great to get you moving and has a bunch of exercises to help TONE you.

But you could do lunges, squats and jog in place in front of the WITHOUT the wii too. :)

Wii Fit Plus is much easier than Sports Active and lets you stay within your comfort zone. I used it this morning and found myself choosing the easy workouts. I burned around 40 calories in 20 minutes (according to the game)

Whenever I use Sports Active (More Workouts), I burn around 100 calories, give or take, in 25 minutes. I feel the burn, and feel my body hurting afterwards. It definitely has helped me lose about 5-10 pounds in the past few months plus has toned me up A LOT.
