Wii fit weight vs. WW weight

Wii fit weight vs. WW weight

i am fuming. i have compared my weight from my weight watchers meetings to the Wii fit and it has been 1/2 lb off EACH time.

Tuesday night i go to WW and hop on the scale (not the normal i always go on) and it said i gained 2.6 lbs. 5 mins before that (i'm uber close to my meeting) i weighed myself on my Wii fit and I lost 1.5 lbs.

what gives? i know i should've stuck with the scale that i always weigh in on, but i couldn't this time.

ohhh WW leaders!!!!!! help me on this one lol

i am right at lifetime, so this is why it's bothering me. otherwise i wouldn't give a flying crap

I have the same problem. but with the same SCALE. At the risk of sounding like an obsessive freak...I weigh myself a few times a day (I know I'm not supposed to but thats besides the point). I could weigh myself on my bathroom scale and ten minutes weigh myself again and gain like a pound. So weird...happens with different scales to. Maybe its some type of weird scientific thing?

its not just you, i will go on the wii fit and it will say one thing, go on the scale at home it says a different number, then go to WW and it says a whole complete other number so i've just started to kind of take an average of the wii fit and the home scale before i go to WW, its very frustrating

The most frustrating thing is my weight then spans about 8lbs between different scales!!!

I only weigh myself with the wii. Now I'm wondering if its even accurate.

I can explain some of it...in that you do actually weigh different things at different times of the day. In the morning right after you use the potty you'll be lighter than you will after a full day of eating...and maybe in the 10 min you used the bathroom? Or had a glass of water? It really does make a difference.

Just pick one time of day and weigh yourself only then...that's the most accurate way to go about it.

Ok ladies.......

EVERY SCALE IS DIFFERENT!

AND...........

Your weight can fluctuate drastically even on the same scale at different times of the day.

This is why WW recommends weighing in only once a week, same place, same time. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT get crazy over the daily fluctuations. Look at it as trends - upward, downward, from week to week, month to month.

Just an example: I am ALWAYS about 5 pounds heavier at night than in the morning. Why???? Because I've eaten, had fluids, and probably some salt. But that doesn't mean that I really gained 5 pounds in a day!

i hateeeee that!! i was down 1.8 on the wii fit last week and when i got to my meeting 10 mins later I was only down .8

thats annoying...and the week before it happened and it was off by less so i dunno how just say oh its off by 1lb or something...

and this is in the same clothes i weight in in every week

If you're used to going to the gym and having a real 'hardcore' workout, then no wii fit isn't a good workout. If you're just getting started and easing into working out, then yes it is. Just my opinion.

The wii fit board isn't exact.. it's not a true calibrated scale. It's used for games too and you probably, at times, just shove it under your bed or in a closet. Things inside jiggle and become 'off'.

As for the wii being a workout. I think it depends on what you are used to. Is it equivalent to going to a gym? probably not, but it's better than nothing and cheaper than the gym. It's good for beginners and for thoes rainy days when you want to do some activity so you don't feel bad, but don't want to leave the house. I got it the day it was released and have been using it on and off ever since. I noticed using it more often didn't help me loose nor maintain my weight compared to the months where I left it under my bed. But that could be just me. I do like having it around for thoes days when I feel i need to do more activity but don't feel like really doing anything.

Also, just as a side note, if you notice, sometimes 10mins of activity on the wii (such as 10mins of hula) will actually register as 11 so the piggy bank, in my opion, is not accurate either.
