I have an expensive item ($200 worth) and want to make sure that I can return it.

they did for me but lately i've been reading that they only give credit back in some stores....make sure to find out which stores before you go.

the one in SI gave cash back

I just went with my sister to return some stuff and she was given a store credit. I have also read on here that they may have changed their policy and now only give store credit.

That is Bull$hit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If my policy was cash returns when I registered, then I will want cash, if that is what I so choose. Call every manager if that is what you need to do, but they said cash back when I registered!

I am going to the one in westbury & I haven't really heard anything about that location.

Here's how I was told it works... If it shows that it was purchases off your registry, they can see when, what store, and how much they spent. As long as it reflects it was purchased, then yes they give you cash even if it was a $500 vacuum, I specifically asked about this

if it was bought on your registry---and shows that you should be able to receive cash in return

some BBB stores have been pulling a fast one and telling ladies that they can't get cash and only store credit. that is BULLLLLLSHIIIIIT!

if they try and tell you that, then let them know and CALL in front of the manager the 1-800-GO-BEYOND.....i guarantee they will change their tune

a few girls on here have had to do that and gotten the cash

I just got cash back for a few items I returned that totaled over $300 (in Manhattan). Just tell them you want cash instead of a credit

I haven't had a problem yet! I returned over $500 worth of stuff. I returned to a store in Long Island in Manhasset.

I went to the one in West Babylon. If it was off of my registry, they asked if I wanted cash or store credit. Anything not on my registry I was given a store credit for.

i registered at westbury and they were really nice there, i thought they did tell me though they give back store credit.

ok, so I just got back & yes, I got everything back in cash without a problem.

I went in on Monday and received all cash for returns that were from my registry and store credit for items that were not.

I got cash back for everything from my registry at the Westbury store today.
