So I booked a 22 passenger Escalade Limo for my 18 person bridal party. I am starting to think I should upgrade to the party bus? (30 passenger) because I dont want people smooshed, knees banging, drinks flying around?. Plus its going to be summer time, humidity, etc. Any experience with large bridal parties and how you managed? Another option is to have 2 limos one for guys and one for girls. thanks!

Are you taking pics at your RH or are you stopping along the way? I think a party bus is your best bet-I also have an 18 person BP and really don't want people to clamor in and out of the limo (we're taking pics in 2 locations) ...also the girls dresses will wrinkle in a limo.
I'm sure a party bus will be a blast for everyone. JMO.

Good point we are stopping after the ceremony to take pics then heading to reception hall. i didnt think of the wrinkle factor too! lol. thanks

we are only doing a drop off since we're getting married at our RH but we got a bus because its so much more comfy. guys arent to fond of scooching down in a limo and the girls with their dresses sliding down isnt fun either. with the bus you can stand and walk to your seat

Hey!!! You're a fellow Astoria Bride Awesome. Where are you taking photos? I'm getting married at Immaculate Conception (Ditmars and 29th street), we're driving Gantry Park in LIC for photos before heading to the RH.

Hi! Getting married at St Demetrios church and then heading to Gantry Park as well for pics! I'm hoping for a humidity free and rain free day in August, its a long shot but you never know in NY! Good luck with everything.

I had 22 bp members and got a party bus, this way everyone was real comfortable and not crammed in.
Its funny bc I also had ceremony in Astoria and then took pics at Gantry park and then 5 points. Here is a big piece of advice, at gantry park if you take wedding day pics then they want to see a permit or you'll get kicked out which i did . I had taken my e-pics also at gantry park and they saw me and said nothing so i thought for wedding day i was fine but nope after they saw us we were asked to leave. Luckily we also had plans to go to 5 points right after so just went there but i was still mad. I found out after that for weddings they require the permit

the bus is probably a better idea to give everyone comfy space & to not be all crammed into a corner especially if you are planning on making stops along the way

We had 14 people (counting two car seats) and got a 18 passenger Escalade. We were fine.

I am getting married in Bayside and RH is in Astoria. I m planning on pics at Astoria Park. Do you need a permit to tke them there?
