Will my dress get all wrinkled in the limo????

I just thought about this. I have no idea why I thought about it now, but I did. I have a silk dress, and I am worrying about it getting all wrinkly in the limo. I live 45 minutes away from the church and that CAN'T be good for my dress. Oh god, I'm panicking about this now!

I was freaking about this too.. and I will have a 5 min drive from our hotel to the ceremony site..

I was thinking about being hitched to the inside of a truck- so all I would have to do is hold on : )

I had a silk dress and it did get slightly wrinkled in the limo on the 40 min drive. No one but me noticed though. The limo driver will help you get in and place the dress so it is flat in the back, so you get the least amount of wrinkles possible. Just remember once you are in the limo, dont move. Thats when you get the wrinkles. I hope this helped and didnt scare you. Really, I was the only one who noticed wrinkles.

I had very heavy dutchess satin, so I did not wrinkle...my girls however did. Luckily they wore black so it wasn't too noticeable, but I think making sure you are sitting flat, and smoothing the gown out while you are in the limo is key. I mean, you will have a bunch of room, so don't be afraid to use it.

Also, ask your bridal salon if there is any treatment that you can get on your dress to prevent wrinkles.

You can also talk to your bridal attendant at your CH to see fi they have anything at the site to help you out.

From what I've been told, silk wrinkles, while silk satin (which I think is a blend, instead of being pure silk) does not wrinkle. So, if you have a silk dress, the wrinkle factor is probably something you should consider. Not saying that you should freak out about it, but you may want to make sure someone will have a steamer at the reception hall, just in case.

I was just telling my sister the other day that I should rent one of those big motorized scooters that you stand on and throw rose petals down the street as I dodge traffic

i was in a wedding party recently where we were in the limo for two hours (there was a lot of traffic) on the ride from the brides house to the church. by the time we arrived at the church, our silk dresses (bride and all bm's) were all very wrinkled.

luckily the bride had already planned ahead and brought a steam iron with her. when we got the the church, we steamed all the dresses before we had to walk down the aisle. everything turned out fine.

I wanted to do this and my mother FREAKED about not having pictures at the house Sheesh!
Hopefully I will be hiring a day of coordinator and she will have a steam iron to take care of it. I'm still freaking over it. My sister is getting married two months before me and also has a silk dress, so I'll have to see what she does, too.

Now THAt would be a site!!

In all seriousness.. I am most likely getting a limo bus type thing-- I need to transport me and wedding party at the same time, to the same places-- I think the bus will allow me to stand and hold on if I don't want to sit..

I live in the city- I am used to subways and buses-- it's the same thing!
