Will prenatal pills...

make your hair grow faster? My weddings is in 3 months and I hate my hair. It rests right on my shoulders and always flips out. I HATE it...

Also, I get kidney stones. Will the vitamins make them 'evolve'.

some say yes, some say no. honestly, your hair grows at it's own pace and there are times it grows faster...i'm pretty sure it's summer...but i could be DEAD wrong.

BTW prenatal vitamins are really just regular multi-vitamins with a little extra iron.

Maybe I should get those 'Hair, Skin and Nail' viatamins. Do you know what I am talking about?

it might help add strength...but to be honest, there's no magical cure to get your hair to grow FASTER.

These worked great for me, especially for making my hair and nails stronger (My hair breaks less). You can only buy them through HSN (the shopping channel) and they're a little expensive, but they're worth it.

Try a vitamin that has folic acid in it as well as vitamin A. Folic acid makes your hair & nails grow.

i found this on another post:

Remember the luster and shine of childhood hair -- before the days of damaging perms, blow dryers and hair color? You can recapture the glowing beauty of young, healthy hair in time for your wedding day by starting from the inside out.

Follow these simple tips and, within a month, you should notice a dramatic improvement.

Eat well. Proper nutrition is essential for healthy hair. Eating a balanced diet with plenty of iron, protein and vitamins will promote healthy hair growth and shine.
Don't go on crash diets. These diets will wreak havoc on your hair, as they usually don't involve a plan for balanced nutrition.
Take your vitamins. Vitamin supplements also promote healthy hair growth, but ask your doctor before taking them. Some can become toxic and result in the very symptoms you're trying to prevent. For example, mega doses of vitamins A and E can cause hair loss.
Stay hydrated. Water is constantly touted as a beauty essential, and with good reason. It prevents the loss of vitamins and minerals and transports nutrients to cells, including hair follicles. Try to drink at least eight to 10 glasses a day. If tap water isn't to your taste, try bottled water or spruce up your drink with slices of lemon or lime. Avoid overdoing caffeine and soft drinks; they can cause dehydration and nutrient loss.
Stay fit. Exercise contributes to hair shine by increasing oxygen-rich blood flow to the hair follicles. Exercise reduces stress, which can cause dry, flaking scalp, overproduction of oils and lank, dull hair. Try to get in at least 30 minutes of exercise three times a week.
Follow a healthy daily hair-care routine. Wash your hair gently with a mild shampoo to preserve your hair's natural oils. Rinse with cold water to smooth hair cuticles, which is essential for shine. Dry your hair gently (pat, don't rub) and use blow dryers sparingly. Protect your hair from the sun's damaging rays with sunscreens and hats.
You can treat your hair with products at home; just don't experiment with anything new the night before your wedding. Most of these recipes can be made with everyday ingredients found in your home. Use distilled water for best results.

Egg Conditioner
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon olive oil
¾ cup (177 ml) of cool water
Beat egg yolk by hand until thick and light yellow. Slowly add oil, beating constantly. Add water and beat into mixture. After shampooing, massage into hair and leave on for five minutes. Rinse extremely well with cool water. (Using warm or hot water may 'cook' the egg and leave an unpleasant smell.)

Beer/Chamomile Rinse
1 chamomile tea bag
1 cup (236 ml) of boiling water
1 cup (236 ml) beer
Brew the tea and let it cool. After shampooing and conditioning, pour beer over your hair and massage to the ends. Rinse well. Pour chamomile tea over hair and let sit for several minutes. Rinse well with cold water. The chamomile counteracts the smell of the beer and, when combined with a cold-water rinse, makes hair glisten.

Apple Cider Shiner
2 cups (472 ml) warm water
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
Stir ingredients together. After shampooing and conditioning, pour over hair and rinse well with cool water.

Having beautiful hair is easy; just follow general good-health advice, and, once in awhile, give it some extra care.

I also found this on a 03' post:
I am kind of a vitamin/health guru and I know that Biotin (sort of related to the B vitamins) promotes hair growth. Many expensive hair products promoting hair growth contains biotin (check the ingredients!). My aunt who lost her hair from chemo started using them and her hair started to grow back. Howver, what is more effective than an expensive hair shampoo containing biotin/-You guessed it-taking biotin supplements! The standard amount is 10mcg (micorgrams) and you can find it in nay health food store, vitamin shoppe, etc. My friend who gets her hair colored at Bergdorfs by the famous Parvin (who also colors Martha Stewart's hair) was losing her hair and Parvin recommended biotin as well. My friend gave it a try and said to me, 'you were right (as if I didn't already know!!!) biotin does work'. Biotin is related to the B family vitamins and also aids in the immediate metabolism of fats, carbs and proteins and is essential to good health. It's found in a lot of foods (spinach, kale, chicken) but for hair growth there is no problem with taking a supplement. You may be deficient in biotion and it is NOT harmful to take a biotin supplement.

Hope this helps,

Re: Will prenatal pills...

i took hair growth pills MANY MANY years ago - and all i remember was the hair on my arms getting really dark and long......yuck-o

why dont you just treat your hair? do conditioning treatments once a week - leave it down - try not to tie it back?? see if that works w/o pills...
