My rsvp date is this Friday and we have only had a handful of No's. People have also been adding on guests who weren't invited! If it keeps going this way we are going to end up with more people than what we invited!
On that subject-is it ok for us to call people who have done this and tell them that they can't bring the other guests? We had to decide not to have kids other than the BP because the cost was just going to be too high. However, we have had people who have just added on their children to the RSVP card without asking. We'd love for everyone to bring their kids, but it is just not a financial possibility. Ahhhhh!

I think that you should call them and tell them that they can't bring their kids & explain that there will be kids at the wedding but that it was just too much for you to invite everyone with their kids. It makes me so mad that people woudl do that. I have only gotten a few rsvps back & so far nobody has done that yet...hopefully it will stay that way.

My 'no's' came all in the last week of RSVP's... I think they wait until the last minute, to MAKE sure if they can come or not... all tye 'Yes's came right away, people we knew would come anyways!

WHY do people assume they can ADD guests??????! that is so RUDE!
You should definitely call them and tell them that you're very sorry, but you are maxed out on space.

Thanks, that's what I was hoping...
For the people who have invited extra guests, we decided that whoevers guests they are will call them and explain the situation.
Most of them are from out of state. Is it possible that they just don't know that it's not ok to just add on people? I've seen this come up on here before but didn't think it happened all that often until we started getting our RSVP's...

Don't jinx it, I complained about not getting no's and now I might not make the minimum!!!! And they didn't come and still haven't without pulling some major teeth...and my RSVP was the 8th!!!!!!

I think it's so rude when people start adding others.... you have to be straight w/ people and tell them only those names on the envelope are the ones who are invited. As for getting all your responses in.... well my wedding is 12 days away and I'm still getting them, lol.

I am having the same problem, we invited a lot but tose not in a serious relationship did not get invited w/ a guest.. some are responding w/ guest and never even asked, at least ask me.. and i have receieved 80 yes responses and 0 no's.. when will they come is right?

My RSVP was the 8th too and I still don't have all the RSVPs. I'm about 4 short of my guarantee right now but I think with the last few RSVPs we are waiting for we should make it! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
