So I picked white Hydrangeas to go between four layers of the wedding cake and on top. But now I'm second guessing b/c someone posted something about them wilting fast? I don't want them to look all nasty when it comes time to eat the cake. The other concern I had with them is that I want them white WHITE and everyone's been telling me its hard to get them whitest white they usually are a ting green which I don't want at all. Should I change them to roses or something?

They make beautiful silks. If you used them you could be certain they are white white!! Just a thought

Re: Will white Hydrangeas on the Cake wilt??
I am having white hydrangeas in my centerpieces and specified white, they said they would be white, not any other color, there is a green hydrangea, that has that tint. I am no expert by any means but did a lot of homework for my wedding. Yet I am unsure of them wilting on your cake, from what I know they are pretty hardy of a plant? But I could be wrong. Just in case do you have a back up flower, i know lillies are very good out of water, so are the white cymbidium or dendrobium orchids(or nay color in that family). Something to think about. Good luck!

I was pretty much set on white hydrangeas, I love the 'fluffiness' of them if that makes any sense. I'm having white peonies too but the bakery said they couldn't get those for the cake, but they could get the hydrangeas so I was ok with that, but than she said, well we'll try our best to get all white ones but is it ok if they are a little green, I was like umm not really. I want them to match the icing which is white. I prob sound crazy rt now but that's the vision I had.
