Did anyone give small gifts when you asked the girls to be bridesmaids? What did you give? I'm looking for some ideas to go w/ the cards.

I did either a photo album or a frame.
The photo albums were the small, flip through ones and I printed out the poem and put it in the photo album.
The picture frames were for my FSILs. I just printed out a nice note saying 'We would be honored to have you as a bridesmaid in our wedding. Love, Kara & Todd'
They loved it.
I've always just been asked, so I thought this was a cute way to do it. You don't have to give a gift, though, of course.

I saw cute leather photo albums in my BM dress colors so that might work.

There is a long peom that I found that ask someone to be your bridesmaid. I dont remember who had it in their Bio, but I have it home. I basically states about how the day is coming and the only key left is to have a BM. I am printing that out with a little bag with necessities upcoming to the wedding such as asprin, tide pens, sewing kits, lip gloss, candy , a mirror and a $5 starbucks card for each one so we can bond on our own or all together, when I am stressed from planning.

i got my sister a precious moments statue.
I making frames for my BMs, but my only sister is my MOH and wanted something different for her..
this is the one i got.. It is supposed to be for a mom, but I think it can be universal, since the precious moments have the same face.
I had t-shirts made for each of them that said either Bridesmaid or Maid of Honor and then gave them a pretty girly card with something heartfelt written inside asking them to be my MOH or BM.

I found little suede photo albums at Duane Reade of all places. They were adorable and only about $5!

I actually did scrapbooks with a window in the front for a picture (I put a picture of FH & I from the first year we were dating)
& for my brothers (I asked them to be church ushers) I bought them a really nice picture frame that said family all around it.
*Kohl's has really good prices on these type of things especially when they have sales*
