I want to do that. I think it is a nice to touch to include those that have passed.
Where will you display them??? I am thinking of having them on the small table in the reception room.....maybe with some pictures...

We're definitely having a memorial candle surrounded by pics of our loved ones that passed...they will be there with us in spirit.

Re: Will you have Memorial Candles???
we are doing a memorial candle. it will be placed in the church and then transported with us to the recpetion hall. (at least this is my plan)
we also got the plasma screens with our dj package - and plan on having a few of our deceased pics up on the screen throughout the night.
i think your idea of a small table and a few pics is great!

Re: Will you have Memorial Candles???
We're going to have a Memorial Candle for FH's mom, it will be up at the altar with our Unity Candle during the ceremony. We might also leave a seat open for her.
At the reception I'm thinking we'll put it on the same table as the Wish Bowl along with a nice picture of her. We have her ashes but I wouldn't bring them and risk something happening to them.

I'll be doing the same thing! I think its such a nice way to honor past family members!
I want them to place a table outside the cocktail room (by the seating card table) for the candles and I will also have a pic frame with song lyrics printed in it to remember past family
after the cocktail hour i'm hoping they can move the table inside close to my dais where it will stay for the remainder of the evening! this is my plan now but depending on the reception hall it might change

Re: Will you have Memorial Candles???
No. I just lost my father in July and it will be too hard for me (as well as my mother, siblings, nieces and nephews) to look over at a candle that will visually remind me that he isnt there - not so soon. All I have to do is think of him and I cry - every day. In my faith, a simcha (happy occasion) ALWAYS comes before sadness. That is why we are having the wedding as planned with as little sadness as possible. That doesnt mean I could forget the man who brought me into this world and made my wedding day possible. His heart and love lives inside of his family.
