Window on the Lake Tallgrass **Review**

So what a day! I visted both W.O.L and Tallgrass today with my mom and grandma.
Although they are nice places here are some of the reasons that I decided they were not the place for me.

Windows On The Lake:
Although it is all on the same 'level' there are a lot of small inclines and ramps due to the floors not being even I guess. Because we have some older people and such, not good for my family.

We would like to be married at the same place that we are having the reception. The lake front ceremony location is accross the street! so yes they shut down traffic to have you and your guess cross, and it is a 'backroad' but the traffic flows with in 10 feet of guest seating!

The Food was GOOD!!!! and the newly painted ceiling is pretty.
Price for a october sat pm 110.00++

Tallgrass:
I am unsure about. The location is pretty and has a nice view. The coctail hour is held on a back pation (semi-enclosed) and around the side of the building through the front hallway.-> not my favorite thing.

Also a negative for my wedding we would have to cut our guest list.... they have a max capacity of 172, including your vendors!

It is lessing catered, and I like their food alot. It is a GREAT price for 2008, (now through feb 2nd)
June through October
Friday night 59.00 ++
Saturday nt 69.00++
Sunday pm 64.00++
sunday pm before a holdiay =2.00 p/p

I live on the other side of the lake by WOTL and I have to tell you for a windy road with limited sight distance people drive fast!!! Not a safe situation!

I would have loved the hometown wedding idea but I didn't really like the way it was situated. I hear it's lovely inside. I've never been.

wow, the prices at tall grass are really good...i have seen pics and it looks really nice, but it may be a prob if you have to cut your list. even if you have the max amount in there it could still feel overcrowded! just a thought. i am having the same problem with RH's since we have 250 guests, it is hard to find a place that we really love that will fit that many comfortably! makes me wish i had less people, but it's so hard to cut the list.

We have cut the list already. Plus I think that if was crowded I would remember that (if I was a guest somewhere else). We are kinda leaning, and when I say leaning I mean hovering over Eastwind!!! I just want to get the most out of my $$
