So I have an appointment today to book WOTL, and I'm a little nervous about our decision. Not sure if it's because I'm just nervous about such a big decision, or if it's because it was not my number 1 choice. Can anyone ease my mind with reviews of their venue? One thing that I am excited about is the pretty fall foliage on the lake. I think the view will be beautiful.

I've been to WOTL twice. Once for one of my dad's retirement dinners and once for a wedding. I thought it was nice! I remember the cocktail hour being huge and delicious!!

I dunno =/ It was on my list of places to see.. I pulled up, saw this parking lot with a huge garbage disposal thing infront of it, saw the lake across the street, and drove away.. Just be prepared, the lake is NOT on the venue, you have to cross a street

It sounds like it's not the one. I would keep looking. If you're having doubts now, they'll follow you until your wedding day. When you find the one, you'll know it :)

I went to a wedding there 2 years ago and it was great! The food at cocktail hour was the best. The room is really spacious and pretty. She got really nice pictures by the lake too

I definitely agree! When it's the one, you won't have doubts. Maybe you should check out a few more & if you're still thinking about WOTL then go for it!

This. We went in for our appointment, but after looking around, we didn't stay to meet a BM (who was late anyway). I agree that if you aren't sure, you should keep looking around.

Thank you thank you thank you for helping me realize that it really isn't the one!!!!! I definitely thought a lot of the same things that you all are saying! I really don't like the view from the parking lot, and I didn't like that the lake was across the street and my guests would have to cross! I think it was the nicest I had found for the price...
BUT I went to the Riviera in Massapequa today and FELL IN LOVE!!! I was able to negotiate an AMAZING price and get a bunch of extras thrown in as well!!! So now I am paying 10pp LESS than I would have paid at Windows, AND I love the venue!!!
What a relief!! SO glad I didn't go put that deposit down today!!!!

Congrats!! I've heard nothing but good things about the Riviera! So glad you did not settle :) I was hooked on Windows when I saw it on the website, but honestly I think a lot of it might be photoshopped =/
