Wine as favors

For those of you who priced this favor out, full sized bottles, how much did it cost per case (how many bottles) for what type and from where? Thanks

Re: Wine as favors

we gave guests either winter white, autumn gold, spring splendor, or the summer one from pindar

we bought it from the port jeff store - and saved 15% or 20% per case - we bought bags and labels separate

This site offers a great deal (1.99 per bottle I think):

Lost Vineyards

The site says that they don't ship to NY due to state regulations, but they do.

good luck!

Did you use them? Why does this offer seem too good to be true?

We used Pugliese Vineyards on the North Fork since that's where we got engaged. They have a number of different price ranges for their wine and you get a 15% discount per case. We chose Chardonnay Gold, which was around $11 a bottle before the discount, but I know they have bottles in the $7-8 range as well. They also hand paint the botttles with your name and wedding date for free

Raising a Glass to Affordability
By FRANK J. PRIAL, Published: May 19, 2004

THE Peck's Bad Boy of wine is back, with a new target: restaurant wine lists.
I'm talking about Fred Franzia, who brought us Two-Buck Chuck a couple of years back.

In a stroke of marketing magic, Mr. Franzia, president of the Bronco Wine Company in Ceres, Calif., matched up a lake of surplus wine with the penny-pinching of the downwardly mobile and made himself a bundle. On the backs, it must be said, of outraged wine retailers who watched their high-markup bottles gather dust while customers sloped off to the nearest Trader Joe's, still the only place that sells the stuff.

The great surplus has shriveled away now, and Two-Buck Chuck, officially known as Charles Shaw, has been relegated to the back aisles of many a Trader Joe's. But the $1.99 wine lives on.

Say hello to Lost Vineyards, a new line of wines from Portugal selling for — you guessed it. What's more, when the Lost Vineyards people say $1.99, they mean it. Charles Shaw sold at that price only in California. Elsewhere it was $2.99. Lost Vineyards is $1.99 wherever it is found.

Haha. Yeah, I don't blame you for being skeptical! But we have actually tasted the Portuguese wine from Lost Vineyards, and it is really good! For the price though, you can afford to try it out for yourself!

Bottle Bargains in Fort Salonga sells Pindar Winter White for around $4.50 a bottle. They might be willing to give you a discount on cases.

Pindar in Port jeff $7.00 a bottle wrapped with matching ribbon in my color theme and printed labels on the wrapping.

Re: Wine as favors

I had the calligrapher put names on the tags on all the bottles and my mom wrapped them with tulle
