Wine bottle favors?

Wine bottle favors?

I'm thinking about giving out small bottles of wine with personalized labels as wedding favors, since we are going to California Wine Country for our honeymoon. Does anyone know where to get the labels to put on the wine bottles? And what about the wine itself, should I just look into some of the vineyards here on Long Island?

A lot of places have a favor program- such as Pindar on Long Island... however, you can make your own labels at myownlabels.com I have used them to make labels for xmas goodies I make, for shower favors I have done in the past, etc.

thanks for that labels website... it looks perfect! i just dont know where to get the wine or what a good price would be for it.. i guess i'll have to make a trip out east to the vineyards. any other suggestions?

I don't think you necessarily need to go out east to the vineyards- check out www.pindar.com I know they have a favor program. BUT you can check out distributors (such as some great stores in NYC) they carry 1/2 bottles that are about $6.00 retail so if you bought by case I am sure that you could get for WAY LESS.

I agree with the wholesaler idea, we are doing that for ours cuz it is at The Vineyard. They charge $6.50 for the halfs and i think we can get fulls for about $4. We are going to make a paper label and tie it on with raffia or something.
There is a site for labels thoughwww.myownlabels.com
