who's getting the bottles of wine on the tables for the reception?? We're going to get it-is it something people really pay attention to at the Reception?

Re: wine bottle service
I asked about it and was told they dont really offer it upfront. If certain tables request it they will do it - but its a waste for them. They open so many bottles of wine and not all of them are used.
But I think this counts on your RH and the size of your wedding - our RH only has one wedding at a time and one large bar which is easy for anyone to get too.
I dont think people will miss it if it isnt there - i haven't been to a wedding yet that had bottles on the table. But I know I would LOVE to have it since I'm a wine-o lol

I've been to weddings where they had it and I guess it's nice but no one really pays attention if there's a bar.

Re: wine bottle service
that's what i was thinking too but FH wants to offer this. We're heavy wine drinkers; and friends of ours had this at the JT wedding and the bottles on the tables went SO fast; they had to keep replacing them ( at least at our table) LOL! EVen though we were drinking mixed drinks; we were drinking the wine during our dinner.

I might not have used the correct term-but what i'm refering to is when you have bottles of wine for each table (instead of having to go to the bar for wine during dinner or place the order with the waiter).
It's just a little easier (in my opinion) if you like wine w/your dinner this way it's already there for you (a bottle of white & red that is replaced throughout the night)

Re: wine bottle service
I have been to weddings with and with out. I think that it is a nice touch. I personally am not having it, it costs extra at my place I believe, so I did not opt for it... However, It is something that I notice when I go to a party, and I think that it is very nice!
