Hubby and i went to a really good restaurant last night and ordered a bottle of wine. We had a disagreement. After you are finished with the bottle dont you turn the bottle upside down in the cantar or not?? Anyone know?? Thanks

I have worked in several fine dining establishments and have never heard of this before. I could be mistaken, but I did a search and did not find anything addressing this issue.

I think I remember this being done, but now FH is saying he doesnt remember such a thing... I guess we drank that bottle of wine too fast!!

We just came back from Italy last week and I'd never seen this done until going there. We just followed along. So, somewhere people are doing it!
