Wine favor help

Wine favor help

I am thinking of buying the small wine bottles for the wedding favors. I was looking at Sutter Home. Does anyone have a place that gives good prices on the wine. The best that I found so far is $ 6.76 for a four pack. I was told that I could get 10% off each case I order. Is this a good price? Thanks for the help.

Hey! Can you send me the info where you found that price for the Sutter Home bottles? I was thinking about doing the same thing and that's a better price than I've been seeing!

TIA!

Try Pop's Wines in Island Park. If you sign up for their mailing list, you get a coupon for their semi-annual 30% off sale which is going on now through mid-October. They're huge, have a great selection and can pretty much get everything you want.

Traders Joes has full bottles for $2.99-$3.99 and the wine is pretty good. You have to go to the Trader Joes in the City on 14th but that is what we are doing because of the inexpensiveness and the wine is not bad.

Full size bottles of wine with your name and date handpainted at no cost. You just pay for the cases of wine. It's about $75 per case.

Mine should be done in about 2 weeks!

I am also doing mini bottles for my wedding and I'm very picky, so I looked at many, many bottles. I think that is a good price because each bottle would come out to less than a $1.69 after the 10% discount. What I would advise you is to look at other bottles maybe lesser known ones and just buy one to taste it and see if you like it. I picked a few bottles that matched my color and theme, bought one of each and tried all with my fiance.

Also, I found that it was better to shop around big local wine stores, rather than buying online because I was able to negotiate a better deal and I don't have to pay the shipping and handling, that I had to pay online. Hope this helps, good luck.

We used those same wines for our e-party favors and I believe I spent....$80 on 72 bottles, so it came to about $6 per 4-pack, and I think they gave 10% off the total.

Be careful of the 2 buck chuck from trader Joes. My BMs gave me a wine frig and 2 cases of that wine for my shower and I have opened a bunch of the wine and the corks were moldy which means the wine is bad. I emailed Trader Joes and they will do nothing about it.

We're doing the same thing and I'm having someone make labels to personalize the bottles

I wanted to do mini bottles of champagne/sparkling wine with personalized labels but couldn't find good prices - any suggestions?

That's exactly what I am doing. How much are you looking to spend?

That is horrible. I have bought cases of wine from them numerous times and have never had any problems. I'm going to starting inspecting all the bottles now.

We're doing magnums of Korbel Champagne and I shopped around and the best price I found was direct from Korbel. They give a volume discount. I think I paid $5.95/bottle plus shipping and handling. They also have the mini bottles. I went to a couple of liquor stores and the cheapest price was $7 OR $7.50/bottle, I can't remember. Korbel was great, everything was packaged really well and I didn't have to lug 75 lb boxes of champagne to and from my car. They were delivered right to my front door, nice and easy!

ETA: be careful of the mini bottles from online stores or wedding stores, we bought a bunch of samples from various places and the champagne that they used was disgusting! I couldn't even drink it, we had about 10 sample bottles and poured them all down the drain!

I agree...the wine is really good. We like the Merlot.
