For those doing wine favors, (im doing the mini bottles), did you wrap them up in some decorative foil, etc.? I am open to ideas about how to give them out as well (only thing not open to is incorporating placecards somehow) but on the table, seperate at the end of the evening, etc. Im asking about wrapping them up because I feel like if they are on the table, people might not realize they are favors and open them which could be fine except I dont know if that presents a problem with the RH and secondly, I want guest to know they DID receive a favor. help!

Re: Wine favor question
This is what I did with mine. They were wrapped in Organza bags (brown or ivory) and I tied favor tags at the top. I put a bottle every other seat, unless there was a single person there then they got their own.
that is a beautiful idea but didn't it cost a lot of $$ to do wine as a favor???

a friend of mine did this. She had a custom label made for the bottle and then tied a cute little charm around the top with pretty ribbon.

Re: Wine favor question
We did the wine bottle favor for our rehersal dinner. We bought the mini bottles and then ordered personalized wine tags through www.myweddinglabels.com. HTH!

Re: Wine favor question
We did mini wine bottles and coasters, so I put the wine bottle on top of the coaster, wrapped both in clear paper and tied two ribbons on it with a favor tag...the wine was turning leaf merlot and it had a little leaf on it (we had a pretty rustic kind of theme) so I didn't want to put my own label on it....it went over really well and it didn't cost too much or take too long to do each one

we bought 100 bottles (full size, not mini) and it came to just under $500. We bought Pindar Winter White. It was a big hit with our guests

I'm thinking of doing the wine favor idea also...I'm wondering what your price was per bottle? Did you get them for less than $10 per bottle? And it's a good wine? I'm thinking maybe there is a place that will cut a deal if you buy in bulk?!

I just got a winemaking kit for x-mas from my sister. They have a store in Islip
So now we are thinking of making our own wine and bottling it up as favors. My sister said the owners of the store are really nice and helpful. We are gonna go check out the store next week to get some ideas with bottling.
