I'd like to do wine favors for my engagement party and I know a few girls have done that before. Can you please recommend a good wine (not too expensive) to give? I'd like to stay under $5 a bottle. Is that too little for a regular sized bottle? Thanks!

check out Bottlesandcases.com their in huntington, everyone tells me they have amazing prices! i dont know how much it is, but Pindar Winter White is very nice!!!

Trader joes supposibly has some cheap good wine. Im not sure which is the closest Trader Joes is that carried it though.

Trader joes supposibly has some cheap good wine. Im not sure which is the closest Trader Joes is that carried it though.
Trader Joe's in the city (they have a separate wine shop on the same block) carries the 2 buck chuck which has one several awards. It's actually $3 in that store. (If you want to travel to Westfield, NJ that location has it for $2.) Otherwise they have other wines there for under $5 a bottle.

I am doing wine favors for my wedding- full bottles of Crane Lake Cabornet- we went to Cappy's in Valley Stream - the bulk price was only $3.75 per bottle and we got 86 bottles.
They're very good for such an inexpensive wine- FH and I love it.. I have pics in my album and if you need more information feel free to FM me.

i did the trader joe's wine and it was awesome! However, it was 3 dollars in Westfield, not two. They were such a hit at our eparty....

They only carry the wine in Manhattan. I asked like an idiot 'Do you have three buck Chuck?' and they practically laughed at me! Mike works down the block from that one (I assume you mean the one on Long Beach Road). It's sooooo good I dont live anywhere near a Trader Joe's because I would have every dried fruit ever made in my house at all times!

Did you do all white or all red or a combo? That's another question I'm wondering about. Do you give people a choice? What if that backfires and everyone wants one and not the other? I swear I'm putting too much into this!
