I was wondering if any of you did this idea for favors? If so, can you please recommend someone/website or a phone #. Also, how much did it cost you per bottle?
TIA!

Re: Wine Favors
I am doing wine favors and I am probably either going with a liquore store near by to pick out wine and then look on line for the best deal. Pindar out east has a couple of good wines that are affortable.

Re: Wine Favors
We did it ourselves - bought the wine from a liquor store in Bklyn, peeled the lable off, and applied our own lable (made in MS Word.)
We then put them in an organza bag (bought from ebay) and put a tag on it.
ETS: We paid about $4 per bottle.

I recommend Pindar in Southhold. Def great prices, and huge discounts.

Was it a difficult task to peel off all those labels??

not at all - we only peeled the front label, and left the back label so that guests knew what they were drinking. 90% of the labels came off on their own with a tear, while others I just ripped off, scraped with a letter opener.

You will get better prices on Pindar wines from liquor stores, not the vineyard or the vineyard-owned stores. Wine is generally more expensive when you buy direct from the vineyard.
Look into some wine stores in Nassau County, and I'm sure you can find a better price on Pindar wines, especially if you buy a case or more.
