We are doing full size bottles of red wine as favors for our wedding. Does anyone know where I can get a decent red at around $5 a bottle? Any types specifically? We wanted to do a red from one of the LI wineries, but it doesnt look like anyone sells any in that price range. I called bottles and cases in Huntington already and they dont. They carry Gondomar and Van Loveren in that price range - has anyone tried these?
Any other suggestions?

Call Stew Leonards in Farmingdale...they have a HUGE selection of wines.
Also, if you aren't set on getting a wine from an LI Winery then try your local liquor stores.
I am doing half bottles and I got great prices from my neighborhood liquor store.

try those two places, i got great prices from both of them, just went with lake liquor they are closer to me!

We did full bottles of red wine for 4.99 each from Franks liquors in central islip. They have different specials going on.

trader joes in union sqare in the city has several types of 'house' red wines that are $3 a bottle......i havnt tasted any of them since i'm not a red wine drinker but i've heard from other they are pretty good!
