Anyone doing bottles of wine as favors? I looked into using Pindar but it was pretty pricey and they used full bottles.
Anyone doing half bottles? If so, who are you using?

Re: Wine for Wedding Favors
We're doing magnums of Korbel. I ordered directly from Korbel (they offered the best price) and I was thrilled with the service, shipping, quality, etc. I can't say enough about them. They offer volume discounts on their website so it worked out great. Pics are in my DIY album.
I'm doing wine for favors. We got ours from Pugliese Vinyards. Full size bottles about $75 a case they handpaint your names and wedding date for free. It takes about 2-3 weeks. Check them out at http://www.pugliesevineyards.com/
Let me know if you have any questions.

I am not a regular Trader's Joe shopper, but did I read in previous posts that only the Trader Joe in NYC sells wine? Maybe I am imaging this, but I thought someone posted that in the past?
I want to do wine also, but I dont want to spend over $5/bottle, Trader Joes sounds like a good option.

I did full bottles. I went to local liquaor store and got pretty good prices from them. I ended up buying them through a friend who works for a distributor.
Yes you can only get the trader joes wine in the city.....they have a trader joes liquor store. My brides maids got me 2 cases for my shower gift along with my wine frig. I have had problems with probably half the wine being spoiled with moldy corks. I have had the wine in the past and never had a problem so maybe this was a bad batch but I know that I stored it properly so it had to have been bad when bought.

Yes, I believe its on 14th street. Just make sure to check the bottles so the above quote doesnt happen. I have never had this problem but because of the above I am going to have them check the bottles before I buy.

Trader Joe's on 14th Street off of Third - around there...close to Union Square has a case of wine for $35.88 / $2.98 a bottle... full size. It's good wine. We did a blindh wine tasting at our apartment to see how everyone liked the different types and picked the top two. No one guess how inexpensive it was. They offer Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, White Zinfandel, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc... may offer more... but tried all of the above. I am going to use this vendor on eBay for personalized wine labels... less than 50 cents a label...and my full wine favor will be approx $3.50.

Thanks, I will visit their website. I am on a budget, would like to stick to about $500 or so for about 125 bottles

If you are looking for personalized labels shot me an FM and I'll give you my cousins information. She does AWESOME work and did a couple of my friends weddings.
Also, try different liquor stores or even try to call the winery yourself and see if they can make a deal with you. Check around too online and you'll find wholesalers and such.
