Re: Wingate/La Quinta Q
it's actually the dining area adjacent to the bar.
it's more like a lobby, no restaurant.

Re: Wingate/La Quinta Q
i know about the free breakfast, but I heard there's no actual sit-down restaurant so I want to include that information with the names of some local restaurants in our OOT guide if that is correct.
So there's no 'real' restaurant?

no real restuarant. in the morning, i think they just put out like bagels and juice and stuff on that long buffet counter in the front lobby.

the bar, is quite literally a BAR. It's an 8 X 5 ft space with about an 8 foot bar. It reminds me of a small cocktail room. It's actually in the lobby of the hotel right when you walk in.

The free breakfast is just a buffet that's set up / there's open seating in the bar 'area'.. No real restaurant. You can reserve one of their banquet rooms for a private breakfast/ meal for additional $$.
There is a deli next door and several other restaurants in the area. I believe there is a shuttle that will take you wherever within 2 or 3 miles from the hotel.
HTH!

I didn't know that about the shuttle -- can anyone else confirm this?

Re: Wingate/La Quinta Q
I don't have all of the paperwork with me at work, but when they mailed me my contract (which I signed with Wingate) I know there was something in there about a shuttle... Maybe email La Q and ask them directly just to confirm. I know I took note of this specifically b/c I have a lot of OOT flying in and not getting a rental car- so I took note of the shuttle & how it would be helpful.

We're having a shuttle take our guests to/from NRC but I didn't know about another general shuttle available to guests.

I think it is only available by appointment and only during a time when they have more than 2 people working the desk.
Call Makita.............she knows

They told us that there was a free shuttle that could take you to local places (within 3 miles).
