Winter Bolero? Shawl? Shrug?

I'm having a winter wedding and SO torn about what to do about adding some warmth to my dress and my bridesmaids.

My dress is chiffon- like and so are the bridesmaids dresses. The girls dresses will be in purple. Any suggestions for alittle something extra for warmth? I am sorta anti the fu wraps... so any suggestions other than that??

Anyone have pics???

I'm totally not into real fur either, what about fake fur? A small one for around the shoulders?

I like capes too. A bit dramatic but nice... Kind of like little red riding hood, but maybe in a different color?... Or maybe the color of your dress.

I'm doing this in April. I won't even care if it's warm this is fabulous

my dress is embroidered tulle and am having the same problems. i think i may do a fake fur bolero - i found some really nice ones (and hopefully good quality) on etsy.
my bridesmaids are also wearing purple. i found this one and absolutely loved it - but my mother didnt think it would look right with my dress... sigh. purple shrug

I think I am going to do a bridal cloak (with a hood! ) for anytime spent outside... photos, traveling, etc. I found someone on etsy who makes beautiful full length capes for (if I am remembering correctly) less than $100.

She also lines both sides so the cloak is reversible, in case you want to do white or ivory with a flash of color that can be worn on the inside peeking through or on the outside if you choose. I've always had this thing for the blue cloak that Belle wears in Disney's Beauty and the Beast... hehe

I was trying to stay away from fur altogether... Fake or real. A friend of mine did it for her wedding, so I am trying to be slightly different.
