Winter Brides I need your HELP??????

I was wondering what time are you having your ceremony? What are you going to do since the sun goes down by 4-430. Are you not going to do any day time pics? I wanted to have my church at 4 but then we will be leaving and it will be dark out???? Now what? What did past brides do?

Yea, I'm stressed about the same thing. Me and FH refuse to see each other before the ceremony, and our ceremony is at 4 with the reception at 7. I know it would make sense to do them before the ceremony, but I really don't want to see him beforehand!!!

our pictures will be insides, so i am not terribly worried about it being dark out.

We were actually just talking about this recently .. So we came up with just seeing eachother beforehand to take pictures and then having the ceremony at 4, then have our guest hold sparklers since it will be kind of dark out by then, and head over to the CH shortly after probably start it at 6.

We took our pictures indoors. Ceremony was at 3 PM and we were able to take a few pics outside the church. However, it was FREEZING on my wedding day so most pictures were indoors.

This is one of the reasons I got married in the morning.... My Mass was at 10:45 AM and my CH started at 1 PM. However, it was so cold, we only got a handful of pictures outside anyway. the vast majority were taken inside.

we had our wedding at 5:00, but that was totally a personal choice. I loved it because our church had all wreathes with candles in the windows, and the dim lighting gave such a nice romantic feel. We took our pictures at our RH (Jericho Terrace) ....we purposely booked a hall with beautiful interior because we knew we wanted an evening ceremony....we also got some out door shots on their grounds (yes in the evening) which actually came out really nice. But like i said, it's totally a personal choice - if u want ur wedding early then do it!

We're taking pics ahead of time from 1-4pm. Then taking a break from each other to freshen up and then meeting back up for a candlelight ceremony at 6pm.

This was one of the reasons we got married in the morning. I wanted to be able to take day and night pictures and not see DH before hand and it worked out well. I know a lot of photographers do really nice set ups of seeing each other for the first time so that is definitely an option, but I know a tough choice to make. Good luck!

Our ceremony was at 3. We got a few nice pic outsidie the church in the daylight. I didnt get any others outside but I have BEAUTIFUL pics of inside all decorated. Thats really what I wanted. Just a personal choice. If you want daylight I would go for an earlier ceremony!
