Are there any winter brides out there that blocked rooms for their guests? I'm just curious if the rates are cheaper than other seasons. Cound Please post your rates for LI hotels? Also, if you have city hotels block could you share that info with me. Thank you!

they said that is there non holiday rate they dont change the prices if you were to get a regular room with out a block it is 229. weve blocked 50 rooms already and they have already booked. i thought because it was a holiday they would gouge but i got the same price as any other weekend they would give. other hotels wanted 179-250 for new years eve.

we have a block for january and the price is $129 a night. i think it is regularly $159. this is at danford's in port jeff.

I don't think you really get any break. I think most of the hotels on LI are business type things. We are getting married on the North Fork and the only break I got was at the Best Western by Tanger. That was only after haggling, too. We are blocking the Wyndham Windwatch for $109 a nite, and the Best Western for $99.

I blocked the Huntington Hilton for February and have a rate of $119. We didn't really get any break.

I blocked rooms at the Marriott Residence Inn in Plainview for $130...I think.

Im a January wedding and I am unaware of any winter discounts..we did get a good rate for just blocking off so many rooms. We are at teh Roslyn Claremont.
