Re: Winter Colors
You're welcome Theresa!
It doesn't have to be red red, there are so many different shades! Why don't you ask them to give you different ideas of what kinds of reds THEY like.... that's if you want to keep it red.
Edited to say: My girls are wearing European Wine, it's closer to red than it is wine (purpley) they have no problem with it! They actually love it!

Re: Winter Colors
I've always liked blue and silver for winter colors (brings to mind frost and ice). Blue and silver with white accents....maybe some plum or lavendar as an accent

Re: Winter Colors
I like navy blue but I also really like hunter green. Iwas a t a wedding last christmas and they were hunter green (velvet type) with fur around the collar. Very elegant!!

Re: Winter Colors
I would always choose black over any other color for a gown. I cant think of many places where I can rewear a dress in any color other than black.
A deep Red is a beautiful color for a winter wedding but it cant be worn to most events.

Re: Winter Colors
I just got married on 12/29 and went with the whole wintery- Christmas theme. Girls dresses were Apple red (a very pretty cross between a red and a cranberry). They looked beautiful. Guys tuxes were black with a platnium vest and regular tie (no bow-ties). Everything looked great and very classy!

Re: Winter Colors
If I had a winter wedding I would do those deep reds. I saw a BM's dress by Bill Levkoff in cranberry color. It was so nice.
MY FSIL was in a Dec wedding and the girls had a dress that was cream on top and burgundy on the bottom. It was very nice. And I know that the bride had a bolero jacket made for here that was trimmed with fur. Itwas really beautiful

Here is what we are doing:
Black Satin Dresses with Colored Wraps- Either Berry Purple or Garnet Red.... That combines both your colors! Also, black is a canvas- you can do anything with the colors--- easy to get flowers that match and can fully appreciated....
