Not booked yet but planning on then end of November...Should I theme it around Fall or Winter?
BTW...So happy to be back! I was on the boards a few months ago and decided to wait to begin planning til my tests were over. Now they're over so I can start planning!!!! Yay! TIA

I'd say if it's before thanksgiving then a fall theme, if after thanksgiving then a winter theme. Congrats on finishing your tests!!!

hey Collette!! how great is it to be done with school!!
depending on the date you choose -- I would ask the hall when they decorate for the holidays since some decorate early, then it would help you decide on your theme

I would choose wintery... mostly because I am inloooove with the iced branches, and if we weren't having a summer wedding, we'd definitely do winter.

Thank you ladies...I really like the winter/snowflake theme but didn't know if it's too early for that. Last November was like June!

welcome back!! i agree, you could go either way, or you could be like me and change your mind a million times between like 10 options after seeing all the beautiful ideas brides have come up with on LIW! either way, you'll have a beautiful wedding

Thanks for the opinions...I never thought of the before or after Thanksgiving idea...you are so right!
Ask your hall if they will be decorated for xmas at the time, that might help you with your decision. If not then do the before after thanksgiving suggestion above

11/22/08 ....that should be the day after thanksgiving....right? I'm the day after thanksgiving also. I think you could probably go either way

I agree with the timing around Thanksgiving, but really, you can do either one. whatever you are comfortable with!
