Quick question... does anyone know about how much of a difference there is between having a spring wedding vs. a winter one? I am considering winter wonderland if it makes it easier on my budget....
Thanks

Re: winter vs. spring
January is the cheapest wedding month followed by March... but it really depends on the hall, etc. Also, if you book a Thursday you can get a really good deal.

It really depend on the RH to see how much you are saving, the best is to go the RHs and tell them you are looking for spring or winter and they will give you both prices. In some halls you may save more than in others.

Just food for thought, winter is cheaper and the themes can be beautiful but you do run the risk of it blizzarding or ice storming before. The day of my friends' wedding (which was MARCH 16 2 years ago - they thought they were in the clear in terms of winter weather!), there was a bad ice storm and a large percentage of people couldn't come. They still had to pay for these because they were in the final count the days before. It was a shame seeing a partially empty room. I know you could have incliment weather (ie rain) any time of year, but a winter storm could really be debilitating in terms of guests showing up.

Re: winter vs. spring
When I went looking at halls I was told the cheapest time was the winter then spring and the most expensive was the fall....thursday and friday nights are the cheaper or a day wedding on a saterday or sunday.

a good amount. At westbury manor the difference was about $30 a person.
I went there to look at a Sept wedding and the person we met with kept trying to force FH and i to get married in Feb/March

I think it will be much cheaper! Not just your RH, but all your vendors will be less expensive too. I think it would be worth it to save the $$$ if you are considering winter vs. spring, because we don't really have a spring anymore.

Re: winter vs. spring
the only drops in prices i saw were for December - March, which i was pretty surprised about
but it does depend on your rh, one rh told me there is a $1 pp difference for the same night in december great incentive hahahaa, but i was also quoted as much as $30 pp difference

Same here! We didn't save much, if anything at all with November. Technically it's the fall... but we are doing a winter themed wedding because I love the cold and that look. Also, we didn't want to chance having a snowstorm. So we might get some coldness to the air (which I'm actually hoping for) but no snowstorms!! Although snow flurries would be nice. I love snow!!

As the others are saying, certain winter months will be A LOT cheaper at most places. Again, you're risking having your wedding during a blizzard or ice storm. Obviously some brides don't worry about that kind of stuff . . . but I couldn't be one of them. You really have to weight out what's important to you and how brave you are lol!
