im looking to have my wedding in dec. 09'. we will be having around 200 people....i love the idea of having a wedding on the water, i think ill get really beautiful pictures on the beach durring the winter(but im not compleatly hookedon thatidea yet), i also want to have it durring the evening. im looking to spend between 100-150pp...i have such a clear picture of what i want my wedding to look like im a little worried about having to much of a clear view, ive been looking at different locations all over long island. i looked at Old Field Club, Jericho Terrance, Danfords on the Sound, and Lombardi's on the Sound...i havent made any appointments there yet i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these places? if it will be worth it to go look at them?

Re: winter wedding
I was just married two weeks ago at the Estate at East Wind- we had a beautiful (well I think so) winter wedding. It was everything I had ever imagined and more. I don't have any pictures, but my sister has some in her profile. Check out jeanla4c for pics and look for my review which will be coming soon

I don't mean to be a damper, but won't you be f-f-f-freezing on the beach in the winter???

it would be a cool idea , but also VERY cold.. if you and your BP can deal with it.. then go for it!

fox hollow is amazing in the winter time!! i wish i had the pictures to show you..
anyways, they have the winter garden pavillion, but its for smaller weddings.. if you want 200 people you will probably have the garden terrace which is gorgeous! its such a romantic, intimate setting! i had the middle room which was the briar fox, i loved it also!! if you are looking in the winter you should get a great rate!! we paid 110 pp. good luck and if you have any more questions just ask!!

Re: winter wedding
We are doing our winter wedding at Bridgeview Yacht Club and are expecting about 175 people. We hope to brave the cold for some dockside pictures. If it isnt too far from you, you should check it out. Good luck!
