I too am having trouble figuring out colors. Our wedding is right after New Years and although i love reds i kinda want to stay away from them since it's after xmas. I was thinking of going with a wintery theme/snowflake theme with some blues and whites and silvers. I just dont want things to look too metallic though. I really like sapphire blue but I wouldnt know what else to match it with. I still want to create a warm feeling. Any thoughts on a wintery color scheme? Im trying to find pics but I can't find any...i feel most jan brides do chocolate or black and white weddings but I wanted something a bit different.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Re: Winter Wedding Colors
i really like your idea of the sapphire blue, silvers, and snowflake...maybe you can make sapphire blue the main color and use other blues as accent colors...or how about a gold theme,?? i know theknot has a whoole thing on winteer weddings....the bridal mags right now are summer...so hopefully fall/winter will be out soon!! hth xxoo

Re: Winter Wedding Colors
I'm doing winter also. I haven't really figured everything out yet, but I was also thinking blue, silver, and white. I was going to do an ice type of blue, but I think all blues really work. I like blue and gold myself =)

Re: Winter Wedding Colors
thanks for your suggestions...i really like the blue idea...do you think mixing silver and gold could be ice with some Dark blue accents??? i think gold gives a warmer feeling...but silver is also very wintery...i think of glitter! also, what about just doing candles with some crystal accents instead of flowers for centerpieces??

Re: Winter Wedding Colors
I'm a Jan 2010 bride ( 1/9/10) and im doing royal blue with some accents of whites and silvers. I didn't want to do reds because I'm not a red person, but i love how the red comes out winter pictures! I think of mix of blues, whites, silvers looks really icy and wintery...
I am also doing snowflake/winter theme!!

I like the ice blue with accents of navy silvers and whites would look really nice. I think that it would give it a great winter wonder land look.

Re: Winter Wedding Colors
I am also going with the snowflake theme of sky blue, navy and white. My bridesmaids will be carrying muffs instead of flowers.
I saw a picture of these adorable snowflake napkin rings. has anyone else seen where I can get them?

Re: Winter Wedding Colors
I think your ideas for colors are really pretty. The snowflakes will add a really pretty touch. I love the winter muff idea. I definitely would have used that had I decided to go with a winter wonderland theme. I decided to use warmer colors. The BM dresses will be chocolate brown with a gold sash and gold shoes. My flower colors are all in the mango family.
