Winter weddings

Winter weddings

We want to switch to a nighttime wedding, and in order not to have to change our hall, I'm thinking of maybe changing our date to January or February.......am I crazy? I know it's risky because of snow and stuff....but it would only be 100 per person minimum, and photog, music, centerpieces, cake upgrade would be included in the price! I have to confirm, but I think it would be $110/person. Opinions???

That seems like a great prices for everything that included. I would just make sure you like all of the vendors, since that who you will have to use. I feel like you can't make decisions based on the weather. Like this year we had snow in Oct and Nov we have had 60 degree days. Look at all your options, make a list on pros and cons to help you look at everything all together. Hope you can come to a decision.

I'm having a winter wedding and I think it was the best decision that FH and I made so far!!! We couldn't afford our RH at a different time of the year and the price was perfect for a January wedding. I know the weather might be crazy cold and there might be snow, but I just think that will make the pics even better...just throw on a pair of cute winter boots under your dress and your ready to go!!

I think you should do what is best for you and you fh. My friend got married in January and took a few beautiful pictures outside. She wore a white fur coat.

I agree with Kristen. I think it can be great, but just make sure you like the vendors that are included in the upgrade. Switching from Aug to winter is def a HUGE difference but if you and your FH will be happy then go for it!

Re: Winter weddings

Thank you, ladies I have a list of their house vendors, and we actually have two of them booked already (music, flowers), so when FH and I speak to the hall, we'll see if those vendors can work. My main concern about a winter wedding is nothing else other than a blizzard and people not showing up and/or the wedding getting cancelled!!!! Scary.

ETA: My real date is in April :) I just picked a random date for my avatar until we figure is out!! lol

No matter what time of year, there's always some sort of a natural threat. We are doing a feb wedding. FH promised me there will be NO blizzard on our day!! hahah
His brother got married in January 5 years ago, and it was 70 degrees that day! It's a gamble no matter when you book

So, with that price and what's included, GO FOR IT
